Live freely, and be prepared to
embrace the pain when it mingles
with love given, and love freely
and meld that pain into those
embraces, into those smiles
and into slow motions of
inhaled and exhaled breaths

It was sudden, surprising quick
when your face appeared, and
your heart soon followed to
grapple with mine, knocking
at each other's pulsating door
wondering, would we let each
other in?

Beloved, You breath and my heart beats
You lovingly whisper to my bones and
a smile comes unfetched to the
corners of my face, and I live
laugh and love each day
for I am bound to the
threads of Your heart. 

I keep telling myself,
you're not it so that maybe
you'll be it, but at the same time
not it so my heart won't have to
restart when you walk away. 

At a time, she crept out onto
random leaf, wove a home
and blossomed into the winged
beauty that now flies before
my eyes. 

You are a matter of mini miracles
cascading throughout moments
of minutes, days and years, accomplishing
a renewal of relationship between Father
and daughter, Creator and created
Lover and loved -

You are a matter of multiplied miracles 
that pulsate throughout me. 

Can I get up and go with you?
Tear up the roots of my bones
planted in these familiar fields
And ride the winds with you
to the farthest nooks and
crannies of the earth?

Each moment I have with you
is God appointed, divinely led
and I thank my Beloved Jesus
that you are the instrument
and translation of His love
for me.

You look serenely out of Your picture frame
into my world, and my eyes behold Your
changing face - as through passing seasons
changing skies of raging whipped willowing
clouds pass behind those Peace-filled Eyes,
ribboned paint pulsating off Your face, riveting
slowly down the frame of Your countenance -
to behold a metamorphosing image of You
each morning when I arise to stand
in front of Your picture frame
