I'm in love with you;
with the fluidity
of yourself and the
way you translate me
just right, present me
in the best light;
keep turning the words
right out of me
poetry, my muse.

body lies heavy like
stone on the ground
and sees the heavens
pass before silent eyes,
feels grass inch its way
up and around body
stone lies heavy on
moving ground and feels
the cool of rain
drip over and under
the self and hears
the murmurings of beetles
bugs and worms below
and the soft shifting
of earth and bones
lie heavy on the broken
ground that slowly closes
its fingers over these
leaded bones, lie heavy,
lie below.
stone on the ground
and sees the heavens
pass before silent eyes,
feels grass inch its way
up and around body
stone lies heavy on
moving ground and feels
the cool of rain
drip over and under
the self and hears
the murmurings of beetles
bugs and worms below
and the soft shifting
of earth and bones
lie heavy on the broken
ground that slowly closes
its fingers over these
leaded bones, lie heavy,
lie below.

Anchor Him to your soul
and sew Him into the
lining of yourself;
place Him as rocks
in your pockets
to throw on the
shore of life
and fill Him
brimming in your cup
and drink deep on
hot dusty days;
Sticky note Him
about the abode
of self to remind
your forgetful
mind of His
humor, love
and thoughtfulness
of you.
and sew Him into the
lining of yourself;
place Him as rocks
in your pockets
to throw on the
shore of life
and fill Him
brimming in your cup
and drink deep on
hot dusty days;
Sticky note Him
about the abode
of self to remind
your forgetful
mind of His
humor, love
